Anyone you employ in the billing month, unless they were terminated before it started. Leavers count in the month they leave and new hires from the month they start. Suspended staff, staff on unpaid leave and contractors paid through payroll count too.
Admins, managers, approvers and auditors who only log in are free, as are API keys and terminated records.
Casual and daily-rate workers cost a flat KES 130 each, only in months they clock in or are paid. That covers every module they use. Volume discounts don't apply to casual workers.
Your bill follows the people you employ that month. New hires count from the month they start and leavers in the month they leave, so you never pay for someone who left before the month began.
You pay upfront for 12 months at the price of 11, on a headcount you commit to. If you grow above it, we bill the extra employees quarterly at the same rates.
Add a module any time and it's prorated for the rest of the month. Remove one and it comes off from the next month.
No. Kenya prices exclude 16% VAT, which is shown as a separate line on your invoice. Outside Kenya, applicable local taxes are added.
Pay by M-Pesa or bank transfer. Companies in a group under the same ownership can add up headcount for the volume bands and get one invoice.
The same model in USD. Payroll is sold only where we have the country's statutory rules: Uganda, Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire today, with Ghana in early access. Every other module is available everywhere.
